Will words matter?
The Seminoles hope so. Can you believe it's been eight years since Florida State last started a season with title aspirations? It's been three years since the team won the ACC championship. It's seemed like forever ago when the Seminoles were in the upper echelon of college football.
But after so much discontent, attrition, turmoil and disappointment, the Seminoles are hoping for a breakthrough season that can send iconic head coach Bobby Bowden off into a happy retirement.
"This year?" Bowden asked.
